"Robin Lail's 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, crisp and beautifully delineated, with tons of varietal character, the Blueprint screams with varietal character. This is such a classy and polished wine. The 2017 is a real overachiever. Vineyard sources are Totem, Farella and Rewa."

"A consistent producer of top flight Sauignon Blancs year in and year out. Lail has once again come up with a highly recommended example that is serious expression of what the variety can offer. It hits all the bases as far as deep fruit, subtle grassiness, judicious oak and impeccable balance go, and, while not at all difficult to access a the moment, it conveys a sense of structured strenght that in no uncertain terms proclaims that it will only get better over the next half decade or more. That is not to say that it is anything less than delicious right now, and it will make special drinking with dishes as rich as lobster in sauce for those who understandably see no reason to wait."

"The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint (fermented in 60% new French oak and aged in stainless steel) opens with lovely scents of gooseberries, green apples and fresh grapefruit with hints of wild thyme, fresh grass and coriander seed. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant, fresh and vivacious with lovely purity and a well-substained finish."
